What is a good life?

How to define good when it comes to matter of life?

No doubt, we are long to live a good life for our whole life,

but, we just not sure whether we are living a good life or a

miserable life.

Many times, we try to look at positive side, try to do good, try

to be a better person, but somehow, the people around just

failed us.

The hypocrites, insults, hatred, jealousy, insecurity, close-

hearted, inconsiderate, no mercy and many more,

the weaknesses of mankind just simply have failed us.

Under these circumstances, are we going to give up on

doing good and being real, losing the simple and pure heart

which we have been safeguarded since our childhood time?

The answer is definitely NO!

If we give up, we indirectly add more troubles to the people

who are trying to do good and want to be a better person. in

other word, we became the problem instead of solution.

Despite that, we should continue to do good, to be a better

person, to be the solution of the problems in this world

today.

We should not be overcame by evil but overcome evil with good. What does it mean?

It’s to live a life of Love, Honesty, Appreciation, Kindness

and Strength. Sprinkled with a little Silliness.

Let’s us Live Life and Love Life together. Cheers!

Have you ever wonder how to change the world?

Are you happy to dwell in the pattern of this world?

Sincerely, I dislike the pattern of this world.

I prefer mutualism than individualism.

I prefer open-minded than narrow-minded.

I prefer sincerity than pretence.

I prefer simple heart than impure heart.

I prefer truth than lies.

I prefer honest than shrewd.

I prefer kind than cruel.

I prefer good than evil.

I prefer optimistic than pessimistic.

I prefer love than hatred.

and I believe LOVE is the solution to solve and change the pattern of this world.

How?

Firstly, we ourselves need to have love inside our heart.

Then only we can instil the love among the people around us, gradually impact on them and they will choose to love eventually.

Though we may get discouraged during the way of instilling the love, we gotta persevere and keep on sowing the seed of love among the people around us, because you never know one day the seed of love in them will grow more abundant and impact more people than you.

Just imagine, if you start to sow the seed of love to a person, then the person sow the seed to another person, and the process continue on and the effect will be amazingly powerful.

How wonderful it is if the world is filled with love?

Hence, start from today, sow the seed of love to your friends or family members and consistently water them, you shall see the abundance and  fruitfulness in your life, and the pattern of this world will be changed eventually.

Let’s Live Life and Love Life together. Cheers!

An Apple Tree: Parent’s Love

A long time ago, there was a huge apple tree.

A little boy loved to come and play around it everyday. He climbed to the tree top, ate the apples, took a nap under the shadow… He loved the tree and the tree loved to play with him. Time went by… the little boy had grown up and he no longer played around the tree everyday.
One day, the boy came back to the tree and he looked sad. “Come and play with me,” the tree asked the boy. I am no longer a kid, I don’t play around trees any more.” The boy replied, “I want toys. I need money to buy them.” Sorry, but I don’t have money… but you can pick all my apples and sell them. So, you will have money.” The boy was so excited. He grabbed all the apples on the tree and left happily. The boy never came back after he picked that apples. The tree was sad.

One day, the boy returned and the tree was so excited. “Come and play with me” the tree said. “I don’t have time to play. I have to work for my family. We need a house for shelter. Can you help me?” “Sorry, but I don’t have a house. But you can chop off my branches to build your house.” So the boy cut all the branches of the tree and left happily. The tree was glad to see him happy but the boy never came back since then. The tree was again lonely and sad.

One hot summer day, the boy returned and the tree was delighted. “Come and play with me!” the tree said. I am sad and getting old. I want to go sailing to relax myself. Can you give me a boat?” “Use my truck to build your boat. You can sail far away and be happy.” So the boy cut the tree truck to make a boat. He went sailing and never showed up for a long time.

Finally, the boy returned after he left for so many years. “Sorry, my boy. But I don’t have anything for you anymore. No more apples for you… “the tree said.
“I don’t have teeth to bite” the boy replied. “No more truck for you to climb on” “I am too old for that now” the boy said. “I really can’t give you anything … the only thingleft is my dying roots” the tree said with tears. “I don’t need much now, just a place to rest. I am tired after all these years.” The boy replied. “Good! Old tree roots is the best place to lean on and rest. Come, Come sit down with me and rest.”

The boy sat down and the tree was glad and smiled with tears…….

This is a story of everyone. The tree is our parent. When we were young, we loved to play with Mom and Dad…

When we grown up, we left them… only came to them when we need something or when we are in trouble. No matter what, parents will always be there and give everything they could to make you happy.

You may think the boy is cruel to the tree but that’s how all of us are treating our parent.

Please enlighten all you friend by forward this to them. And love your parent.

I like children, not because of their cuteness, but for they have a pure and simple heart.

I like to see their smile, sincerely from their heart.

I like to see how they talk and react, because every word and act are came from their first thought, without complexity.

I like the way they think, for they don’t know the evil thought.

In the eyes of a child there is joy, there is laughter.

There is hope, there is trust, a chance to shape the future.

The more maturity we grow, the harder we find joy and simplicity.

The more knowledge we possess, the higher ego in us.

The more materialistic we are, the deeper emptiness in our heart.

Hence, let’s us learn from children, the pure heart, simplicity, honesty, joyfulness, trust, hope and etc.

For the lessons of life there is no better teacher than the look in the eyes of a child.

Let’s Live Life and Love Life together! Cheers!

If you have food in your fridge, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep,
You are richer than 75% of the world.

If you have money in the bank, your wallet, and some spare change,
You are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness,
You are more blessed than million people who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the agony of imprisonment or torture, or the horrible pangs of starvation,
You are luckier than 500 million people alive and suffering.

If you can read this message,
You are more fortunate than 3 billion people in the world who cannot read it at all.

We all are blessed, aren’t we?

Give thanks for every little things or happy moments you are having now.

Love People and Use Things

I am a mother of three and have recently completed my college degree. The last class I had to take was Sociology. The teacher was absolutely inspiring with the qualities that I wish every human being had been graced with. Her last project of the term was called “Smile.”

The class was asked to go out and smile at three people and document their reactions. I am a very friendly person and always smile at everyone and say hello anyway, so, I thought this would be a piece of cake, literally.

Soon after we were assigned the project, my husband, youngest son, and I went out to McDonald’s one crisp March morning. It was just our way of sharing special play time with our son. We were standing in line, waiting to be served, when all of a sudden everyone around us began to back away, and then even my husband did. I did not move an inch…an overwhelming feeling of panic welled up inside of me as I turned to see why they had moved. As I turned around I smelled a horrible “dirty body” smell, and there standing right behind me were two poor homeless men.

As I looked down at the short gentleman, close to me, he was “smiling”. His beautiful sky blue eyes were full of God’s Light as he searched for acceptance. He said, “Good day” as he counted the few coins he had been clutching. The second man fumbled with his hands as he stood behind his friend. I realized the second man was mentally deficient and the blue eyed gentleman was his salvation. I held my tears as I stood there with them.

The young lady at the counter asked him what they wanted. He said, “Coffee is all Miss” because that was all they could afford. (If they wanted to sit in the restaurant and warm up, they had to buy something. He just wanted to be warm). Then I really felt it ~ the compulsion was so great I almost reached out and embraced the little man with the blue eyes. That is when I noticed all eyes in the restaurant were set on me, judging my every action.

I smiled and asked the young lady behind the counter to give me two more breakfast meals on a separate tray. I then walked around the corner to the table that the men had chosen as a resting spot. I put the tray on the table and laid my hand on the blue eyed gentleman’s cold hand. He looked up at me, with tears in his eyes, and said, “Thank you.” I leaned over, began to pat his hand and said, “I did not do this for you. God is here working through me to give you hope.” I started to cry as I walked away to join my husband and son.

When I sat down my husband smiled at me and said, “That is why God gave you to me, Honey. To give me hope.” We held hands for a moment and at that time we knew that only because of the Grace that we had been given, were we able to give. We are not church goers, but we are believers. That day showed me the pure Light of God’s sweet love.

I returned to college, on the last evening of class, with this story in hand. I turned in “my project” and the instructor read it. Then she looked up at me and said, “Can I share this?” I slowly nodded as she got the attention of the class. She began to read and that is when I knew that we as human beings and being part of God, share this need to heal people and be healed.

In my own way I had touched the people at McDonald’s, my husband, son, instructor, and every soul that shared the classroom on the last night I spent as a college student.
I graduated with one of the biggest lessons I would ever learn:UNCONDITIONAL ACCEPTANCE. Much love and compassion is sent to each and every person who may read this and learn how to LOVE PEOPLE AND USE THINGS~NOT LOVE THINGS AND USE PEOPLE.

We need to accept others in our life,

but it’s more important that we need to accept ourself for who we are.

The reason is, if we cannot accept our own self, then how can we accept others?

No one will truly know how to love others if the person don’t know how to love him/herself first.

The question is, why some of us don’t love or accept our own self?

Family background and attitude of a person play a vital role in answering the question above.

A child raised up from a broken family or a family without love and care, then the child probably will have problem in loving him/herself and others as well when he/she grown up.

An attitude of never satisfy and fear of losing anything will also push a person to not to love the things he/she is having now, and end up he/she loses everything, including their own self.

Hence, what are the solutions?

Since we can’t choose our family background, but we can choose our friends and attitude.

Try to make friend with those who are loving, caring and accepting you, and church would be a best place to go. We need to receive love continually in order to recover from past hurting. During the process, we will learn to accept ourself and start to learn to love others as well.

The same for those who are fear of losing anything, the reason why they fear is because they are insecure. They also need love, care and acceptance from friends in order to recover.

Let’s care, love and accept ourselves first, then we can only do the same way to others. And eventually the world will be a better place to live.

Let’s Live Life and Love Life together. Cheers!

Pencil and Eraser: Parents and Children?

Pencil: I’m sorry

Eraser: For what? You didn’t do anything wrong.

Pencil: I’m sorry because you get hurt because of me. Whenever I made a mistake, you’re always there to erase it. But as you make my mistakes vanish, you lose a part of yourself. You get smaller and smaller each time.

Eraser: That’s true. But I don’t really mind. You see, I was made to do this. I was made to help you whenever you do something wrong. Even though one day, I know I’ll be gone and you’ll replace me with a new one, I’m actually happy with my job. So please, stop worrying. I hate seeing you sad.

I found this conversation between the pencil and the eraser very inspirational. Parents are like the eraser whereas their children are the pencil. They’re always there for their children, cleaning up their mistakes. Sometimes along the way, they get hurt, and become smaller / older, and eventually pass on. Though their children will eventually find someone new (spouse), but parents are still happy with what they do for their children, and will always hate seeing their precious ones worrying, or sad. All my life, I’ve been the pencil. And it pains me to see the eraser that is my parents getting smaller and smaller each day. For I know that one day, all that I’m left with would be eraser shavings and memories of what I used to have.

How fantastic the world would be if every person you meet is kind and friendly?

How wonderful the world would be if everyone shows mercy and grace?

How relaxing it is if everyone could slow down their pace, appreciate life and enjoy every little things in life?

How amazing it is if the rich will help the poor, the strong will protect the weak, and the people will love the people?

The world now has hit the demography of total 7 billions people, whom inhabited on almost every land of the earth.

WOW, you are not alone.

Everyday, there are 7 billions people striving hard to live a better life and future.

In fact, all of us are fighting battle in our life.

Some might fight to be free from poverty, starvation, slavery, war and injustice.

Some might fight to give a better future for themselves, their family, nation and the world.

Since we all are in the journey of fighting life together, why not we smile to the people we meet everyday, be kind to them, and to encourage them to continue on their life.

Love yourselves, and love others as yourselves.

How peaceful the world would be if we love each other, despite the differences?

The world need love, the love from everyone.
